“Many years ago I began drawing and painting musicians as a form of appreciation for the devotion they give to their art. The work of creating, composing and arranging music informs my own process. The goal is to bring the spontaneity and improvisation of an idea, a sketch, to a finished composition. Musicians do the same thing, except in heels, backward.”
